What L&D Research Tells Us About the Future and How to Demonstrate Your Value

Artificial intelligence can now create learning objectives, generate courses, build assessments, produce videos, and complete many of the tasks that once defined Learning & Development work. As AI becomes a capable production partner, the question is no longer How do we use AI?, but How do we demonstrate the expertise that technology can’t replace?

About the presenter:

Dr. Jane Bozarth is an internationally recognized L&D practitioner, author, and speaker. From her early career as a platform trainer to work as an eLearning designer and statewide eLearning program manager for North Carolina USA, and then as the Director of Research for the Learning Guild, Jane has established herself as a credible voice offering pragmatic and affordable information and advice. She holds a master’s degree in technology based training and a doctorate in adult education/training and development; her dissertation focused on communities of practice in L&D. Jane is the author of several books, among them “From Analysis to Evaluation”, “Social Media for Trainers”, and “Show Your Work”, Dr, Bozarth lives in Durham, NC, USA, but visits the Minnesota State Fair whenever she can.

This interactive session explores what AI adoption means for the future of L&D and how learning professionals and teams can make their value more visible. Learn about current research, the skills needed for the future of L&D, and Jane Bozarth’s “show your work” principles. Then collaborate to discover practical ways to showcase thinking, judgment, collaboration, and business impact.

You’ll leave with strategies for making your and your team’s expertise visible, strengthening professional credibility, and positioning as an indispensable partner in an AI-enabled workplace.
