Having a career in learning reflects my multi-potentialite lifestyle. I particularly love videography because it is a fusion of so many passions. Also, with a history in theatre and improv, coming across new learning experiences I say yes, and!

I love knitting. There is something magical about creating an object with just yarn and some pointy sticks. The possibilities are infinite with variations in yarn contents, textures, and sizes; needle sizes; and tweaks in technique.

Some of my favorite things to learn involve creating more time in the day through efficiencies. Tell me about all of the ways I can save tens of seconds every day! Optimizing workflow, using hotkeys and shortcuts, automating, templatizing - I love all that stuff.

I love learning about people. I’ve always been a curious person, but I am especially interested in what makes people tick. My curiosity about people is rooted equally in empathy and analysis. Nothing makes me want to dig deeper, or ask more questions, than hearing about the way other people think, feel, and experience the world. I feel blessed to play a role at Fredrickson in which my curiousity about people is both useful and gratified!

Learning keeps us engaged and excited, and most of all, empowered. I enjoy being able to use my skills to help others learn.

Sharing knowledge is one of the greatest gifts we can give each other. Teaching and learning have the potential to build empathy, understanding, and community. I love learning from and about others around me and then paying that knowledge forward.

I love that I get a deeper understanding of myself and the whole human experience from reading autobiographies. Plus that extra layer of compassion and sensitivity that comes from learning about a challenge that someone overcame is pretty priceless.

I love learning lots of different pieces of information. Sometimes I go on deep dives just because I am curious about a particular subject! I've spent time researching facts about bears, unsolved mysteries, natural disasters, famous historic families, and horse breeds, to name a few. Learning is part of being human and it's exciting to work with others to develop learning experiences that are meaningful.

Learning underlies all my hobbies, from repairing cars to home improvement. By doing whatever I can myself, I not only save money, but I get the satisfaction of learning how things work.

One of my favorite things to do is read historical novels. I love learning about history through stories!

I read cookbooks to learn to improvise with meals; my winter project is to master flavorful soup.

I'm having a blast learning from great educators for all my hobbies and interests. I can't think of a better way to grow as a learning professional than to be a student of teachers who know how to bring passion and engagement to every lesson.

I love learning about how things are made or how they work, whether it is a new product we are designing training for, or the authoring tools we use for developing the training. I especially love learning the ins and outs of those tools, so I can figure out unique ways to add interactivity or flair to our eLearning.

I love to learn new languages and art techniques. I look forward to when the Saint Paul Community Education catalogue comes out every season. This fall, I am taking an art class for toddlers with my daughter..

As a digital scrapbooker, I constantly work on adding to and learning new skills by participating in on-line community challenges; YouTube is my friend as I build muscle memory for new techniques.

I love learning because it opens doorways to new challenges, experiences, people, and a richer life!

I'm a researcher at heart, and when I want to know more, I will dig as deep as I can go on that subject to satisfy my curiosity. Learning isn't just something that we do; it's at the core of who we are.

I started in the learning industry as a voice talent while I was completing my theatre degree. I love the aesthetics, engagement, creativity and interest in how humans think and behave inherent in both learning design and theatre. I also adore a great spreadsheet.

As a lifelong learner and a teacher at heart, I've always found myself curious about how we all learn through our experiences. So curious that I competed in the 1999 Honolulu Marathon just to experience how to train for (and finish!) such a major event.
